The Ripple panel was created in response to the British Glass Biennale competition that required two makers to come together to create a piece of work. Iestyn Davies and Adrian Mulley won the prize with their collaboration which was designed around the ripples a stone would create when thrown into water.
The panel has two lighting systems; the central line and an equal and opposite back light. Both respond to movement, programmed via sensors to react when a body passes in front of the panel. The quicker a person moves effects the speed and colour of the ripple emanating from the centre.
