Created for the Cancer Research Garden at the Royal Chelsea Flower Show in 1995.

The egg is about 1 metre high and weighs nearly a quarter of a ton; fabricated from multilayers of bonded acrylic with an internal airspace filled with filtered water and illuminated with powerful RGB LEDs.

The feature was designed in response to a brief so that when air was introduced to the central cavity the resulting bubbles were magnified via the two large convex surfaces.
