Traps’ are a verbal pun on the visual aesthetics of these designs. Each is made in two parts; the inner
form has a highly decorative single or pair of creatures wrapped around the hollow vessel.

These are incredibly difficult to make as once the blown form is added, the whole piece is ‘puntied’ or turned around and the top portion is spun out as one would make a plate; the problem is that this form is incredibly eccentric and off-centre and there is no second attempt.
