Blowzone is a multi-disciplinary company working within the design and manufacture industry offering a complete service to our clients; from consultation, design and prototyping through to manufacture and installation of contemporary chandeliers and fibre optic lighting..

Blowzone is run by Iestyn and Bev Davies. Iestyn is one of the countries leading Hot Glass sculptors and is renowned both nationally and internationally for his unique sculptural glassware and fibre optic lighting.

Over the past few years they diversified away from studio glass; specialising now in bespoke designer lighting, fusing state-of-the-art LED technology with hand formed glass, acrylics and metals to create stinning colour change lighting.

Iestyn has spent the last four years researching LEDs and is now in the privileged position of working with some of the UKs top LED manufacturers and software engineers .

LEDs are after all , just another type of light bulb yet there are several important differences that make them unique when used within new artworks. Principally these are their size, longevity, pureness of colour, heat output and their ability to be controlled.

This ultimately means that Blowzone can design colour change lighting around this new advanced technology ; they can offer a unique service, creating custom built bespoke lighting for almost any application. Imagine a 5 meter long contemporary chandelier with 50 hand formed glass spikes that will run for over 11 years continuously without ever changing a bulb. All for the same energy as 1 single 50 watt halogen bulb.

Blowzone continue to work within both interior and exterior environments creating one-off installations, Public Art, Decorative screens, colour change lighting, contemporary chandfeliers, Architectural Panels, Specialist LED, designer lighting and fibre optic Lighting and unique Water features.

Alongside their own development they have formed significant partnerships with two other companies and now design a unique designer lighting portfolio for both Andy Thorntons, based in Yorkshire and Litefuzion based in Gloucester. Iestyn is also working as a lighting consultant with the NHS and as a lighting designer for a well known worldwide lighting manufacturer .
